Key Themes and Highlights
1. AI Meets UX
Artificial Intelligence was a hot topic throughout the camp. Meret Sonnenschein from IBM iX led a thought-provoking workshop on "Navigating AI," emphasizing the ethical integration of AI in design. Participants also explored rapid prototyping techniques in extended reality with Denys Babenko, who inspired creative solutions even when technical challenges arose.
2. Design Systems and Accessibility
Benjamin Lenz’s session on multi-brand design systems and accessibility highlighted the upcoming Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV) and the importance of inclusive digital experiences. His talk showcased Yello's initiative to implement accessible designs and adapt design tokens for various brands.
3. Leadership and Communication
Hias Wrba entertained and enlightened participants with the "UX Drama Triangle", encouraging designers to break out of unhealthy patterns and embrace constructive roles. Eric Reiss explored the balance between innovation and best practices, reminding us that true innovation must solve real problems and often involves unexpected consequences.
4. Culture and Professional Growth
From discussions on remote work to leadership strategies, the camp fostered conversations about professional growth and the importance of collaboration. Aleksandra Lazović inspired designers to speak the language of business through measurable KPIs, while Pimm Hogeling advocated for stronger communication between designers and developers.
